Test-Scratch-Wiki:Adding a Test Wiki

Use the following steps to create a new Test Wiki:

1. Create the namespace
   • This must be done by someone with server access and must be done before any of the other steps
   • If you do not have server access, contact someone who does before going any further
   • Add the following in the correct locations (do not forget to replace the placeholders by the ISO 639-2/T):

     defineTestWiki('{{UPPERCASE_ISO_639-1_CODE}}', '{{TITLE_CASE_ISO_639-1_CODE}}', '{{LOWERCASE_ISO_639-2_CODE}}', {{NEXT_EVEN_NUMBER}})

   • Example: defineTestWiki('EPO', 'Epo', 'eo', 22);
2. Create the Scratch Wiki Home page
   • Ask the person who wants to create the Wiki what title to use
   • Copy the Eng:Scratch Wiki Home
3. Create a link to the mainpage
   • In the main namespace, create a page with, as name, the name of the newly-created namespace
   • As content, set a redirect to the homepage of the newly-created wiki.
   • Example: The page Epo will have as content #REDIRECT [[Epo:Scratch Wiki Home]]
4. Create the Test Scratch Wiki Home page
   • Ask the person who wants to create the Wiki what title to use
   • Copy the Eng:Test Scratch Wiki Home
5. Add the Wiki to Eng:Scratch Wiki Home/translate and Eng:Test Scratch Wiki Home/translate
6. Add the Wiki to Template:Translate and Template:Translate/doc
7. Add the Wiki to the sidebar
   • This must be done by an administrator
   • If you are not an administrator, ask an administrator
8. Add the wiki to Test-Scratch-Wiki:Test_Scratch_Wikis
   • Add the author to the list of authors for this wiki
