SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. SEO spam is used to improve a site's ranking on search engines like Google, which rank based on links toward the site. SEO is not allowed on the Scratch site and should be reported.
Make sure that you do not respond to any SEO spam, either, because it only makes more work for the Scratch Team.
